Me too, as you and many of our friends have been listening to David all day yesterday and today, Paul. Like our dear Marie, I was struck and in awe with how he really was a Star to the last day, releasing his album on his birthday, a legacy for all of us, two days before he left us; the courage and purpose!!? The dignity of not making his illness public, no fuss, no pitying....A real hero, a true gentleman, a rock Star to the core, to the very end and what an exceptional and generous human being!! Another beautiful tribute you post here, my friend, your portraits are to me (and many of us here) what I see in my mind when I remember him. Thanks for that!! xox Christel.

Paul Lovering replied:

Yes dear Christel it seems the whole world that loved David Bowie have dusted off all their albums , listening to these amazing songs removes us from 2016 to a innocent time in the 70s , I listened to Dark Star after Marie suggested it , and bang the exception musician still had going on to the very last , and his knowing his time was coming to a end , so sad , but your terrific words say it better than I conjur , I thank you and hold my glass to celebrate the mighty Ziggy Stardust .. Big hugs Paulxox

I've been listening all day....and I thought of you, too and knew I'd find your tribute here. And it's a good one. Knew it would be. What a wonderful soul we had with us for so long and how great he got "it" out there for us to enjoy forever. He was a oner. There will never be anyone like him again.

Paul Lovering replied:

Me too dear Nancy , it is rare I play my LPs, but to listen to the Fab songs and marks and scraps take me back to a time of difference .. Rock On Mr Bowie and thank you very much my friend .

I just can't seem to be able to wrap my head around this.....! It's sooo sudden...I spent the whole day listening to his last album Blackstar...takes you from sad...to amazed...to troubled...to humbled....What a great human being...his legacy will go on forever...He left his mark on so many...and opened so many doors! I have great admiration for the way he lived to the fullest...and even more for the way he chose to exit...what a gentleman! Another great tribute Paul! I posted some of your Bowie portraits on my FB page today....hope you don't mind...xox

Paul Lovering replied:

Hi dear Marie me too me too , I can not get my head around this passing either , all deaths are a shock , but Bowie was part of our household since he captivated us way back in 70 , I can not think of any modern day musicians singers that can anywhere close to his amazing songs and reinvention through the years , a life full full and such a cool guy added to his persona , thank you very much for your lovely kind words , my old LP's have been playing non stop Bowie , just like when I was young ,I am so thrilled you share my arts ..my best wishes to you and Daniel , big hug across the sea .. Paulxox
